Network Software

Network software modulated into Metodix is divided into three groups according to their use: method tools, group work tools, and environment tools.

Method tools

Method tools are computer programmes designed for internet environment, and their purpose is to enable the use of method tools in the net. In general, method programme consists of two elements - the application programme for an end-user and the manager programme which is used in the creation of the end-user application. The links on this page lead to manager applications, which, however, require a login and a password. In order to get the user rights for these applications, please contact the Metodix Manager at metodix@metodix.com. Some examples:

Delfix - expertise method for Delphi (programme has been developed in co-operation with The Centre of Futures Studies of Turku School of Business and Economics, url: http://nexusdelfix.internetix.fi)

Tacitix - analysis programme for tacit knowledge (An application of The Learning History Method used originally in MIT, url: http://tacitix.internetix.fi)

Group work tools

Group work tools are interactive network programmes, which enable planning, conducting and monitoring learning and education online. Links on this page lead to applications, which require also the application user rights in addition to the one you have in Metodix. Ask further information from the Metodix managers (metodix@metodix.com). Examples:

Kurssix - programme for organising network courses (url: http://kurssix.internetix.fi)

Conferencix - a virtual conference programme

Debatix - a programme for conversation and debate

Chat - programme enabling a real-time conversation

Environment tools

Environment tools can be used for managing and formulating the learning environment and its users into the form that is best for each organisation. The links lead to manager and principal user applications, which all require an additional user right but also adequate computer skills. For further information, please contact Metodix managers (metodix@metodix.com).
